Introducing - Moonies...organic cloth diapers in Canada!

These are our very own organic cloth diapers hand-made in our workshop right here in Ontario. After several months of hard work - creating, designing, testing, re-designing and testing again we finally came up with a great diaper you are going to love.

Combining trim and snug fit with adjustability, Moonies are made entirely with silky soft and ultra-absorbent certified organic cotton fleece. Soft, wide elastic at the back and legs for snug fit. All front snaps on the inside are hidden between the layers of fabric so they won't leave marks on your baby's delicate skin. There is an inside in-built soaker between the layers which is attached to the front top and back top of the diaper, but not to the sides allowing fast drying. Organic cotton fleece is very dense and durable yet very light and fluffy, making it perfect for cloth diapers, which require frequent hot washing and tumble drying. Available in two sizes:Size 1:Babies: 8 - 20 lbs.Waist: 14" - 20"Rise: 12" - 15"Size 2:Babies: 19 - 36 lbs.Waist: 15" - 26"Rise: 16" - 19"More great colour combinations are coming soon! THESE DIAPERS WILL BE IN STOCK IN OCTOBER. STAY TUNED!

Bamboo diaper stuffers

Pick a bamboo insert or stuffer for your cloth diapered baby. Naturally anti-bacterial, cooling and ultra-soft bamboo fabric is perfect for cloth diapering.

What is lanolizing and how to do it?

Linolizing means applying melted linoline to your wool covers in order to archive the best absorbency and to provide a water "barrier". Ideally you will need to lanolize your wool covers every 3-4 washes by adding a teaspoonful of melted lanoline (Lansinoh or PureLan by Medela) to soapy water and soaking them in it for a few minutes. After that, take out the excess water by rolling them up in a towel and lie flat to dry. You are done! Wool covers do not have to be washed at every change (unless soiled) so just air them when wet and they will smell fresh again.

Enjoy!

Cloth diaper resources

Welcome to Cloth Diaper resources and Organic Cloth Diaper Store!
With this project we are hoping to bring more attention to cloth diapering as one of the easy and fun way to help reduce waste, save our landfills and our children's health.
If you have a baby, consider this:
Each baby needs up to 6000 diaper changes over the course of 2-3 years.
There are 18 billions tons of disposable diapers are used in the States along.. in ONE year.
Disposable diapers are berried in our landfills, where they stay for hundreds of years.
If you really care about what kind of world your child will live in, consider using
cloth diapering system. Really, it's a lot easier than many people think! You will also end up saving a lot of money, yes, even with those two extra laundry piles each week. Cloth diapers come in many shapes, colours and styles to satisfy even the most picky parent.

Enjoy!
